As part of a fundraising event, we have decided to run a sweepstake draw on the Grand National. Each ticket costs £1 and entitles the holder to a stake in a horse in the Grand National taking place on 10th April 2010.
The draw for a horse for each ticket holder will take place on Friday 9th April using the most up to date list available.
The draw will be published on this website.
The holder of the ticket for the first horse to finish will receive half of the money from the sale of the tickets. Please note this may or may not be the same as half the number of riders. The other half of the money received will be used to top up club funds.
Copies of the sweepstake tickets can be dowloaded by clicking on the link below. Any completed slips with the £1 entries can be handed to any of the committee by 9th April 2010.
Good luck everyone!

Lillian and Archie Neil became stars of their school when they received certificates and trophies for their business enterprise fundraising project. They appeared in the school newsletter. They were, of course, already stars of our club as the fundraising was for our club funds.

Following fears that our time slot would change after Christmas, the Council have held a meeting and decided that our time slot will remain the same. The article below was in the Nuneaton News on Monday 7th December 2009. Many thanks to everyone who helped make this happen! Click on the image to view the article full size.

The pool will be closed on 18th December and therefore the Christmas party will be on the 11th. If anyone can sell raffle tickets or donate prizes for the raffle – we only have one week left!
The pool has informed us that after Christmas our time will be 7.00pm until 8.00pm. This is too late for many of our younger members and several parents have already phoned the council to complain. If this affects any of you as members you make want to take some action yourselves. We also need you to come to sessions so that we can let everyone know how many people use the club.

Well done to Elle-May Dempsey who got her 100 metre badge on 27th November and Robert Burr who got a special certificate for swimming 2 metres all on his own (underwater, but on his own!)
Two assistant teachers joined us for the first time, also on the 27th. Sue Smith and Karen Whinmill have helped many children to learn to swim at Exhall Grange. If they can spare the time to come on a regular basis, more of our swimmers will get a proper lesson or coaching.
