Hi Sheila,

If you are lifeguarding this yourselves then we can hire the pool out to you on Fridays from 6-7pm for the period you need.   Hire of the pool will be £50 per hour.  I am just trying to make contact with one of our site managers who usually deals with the pool / lessons etc to check all is ok, his name is Ryan and he is the best one for you to speak with.  I would be the one who invoices you and takes payment.  I look forward to further correspondence with you.

Directions:

From Bedworth Leisure Centre continue along Coventry Road – throught the lights at Bayton Road, then turn left down Blackhorse Road. The road turns right at a mini roundabout and continues to another mini roundabout and into Grange Road.

If enough swimmers are interested we have enough trained lifeguards (Sheila, Sheena and new helper Megan). We would probably need to charge £2 for each member to reduce the cost to the club.

Maybe we should swim alternate weeks?

We have been making enquires regarding an alternative swimming venue for our club sessions, while the pool at Bedworth is closed.

Good Afternoon,

Apologies for the delay in responding.  Unfortunately our pool is in constant use during the evening with the City of Coventry Training Club.  They have just arranged a new session on a Friday evening, as up to Christmas the pool was not used at this time.

I am sorry that I have not been able to help you on this occasion.

Hinckley Leisure Centre

Hello Sheila,

The best time we could do to match what you’re doing would be 7.30pm – 8.30pm on a Friday evening? That would be in our Aqua pool which is 12m x 12m with a moveable floor. Alternatively if you wanted the main pool we would have to look at a Saturday evening between 5pm and 10pm.

I have asked for details of hire fees for the Hinckley Sessions.

Well done to William Newton, who swam 5 metres for a badge and certificate on 3rd January 2014.

Thank you to Santa, all the members who bought and/or sold raffle tickets, donated prizes, brought food and everyone who helped at the Christmas Party. Quite a few committee members couldn’t make it so near to Christmas and we really missed them! The Christmas Raffle raised a magnificent total of £199.00!  Thanks to everyone who helped us to raise this amount.

Congratulations to William Newton who swam his first 3m for a certificate on 20th December.

Our new helper is Megan.Her friend Taran will start after Christmas.

We will swim on 3rd and 10th January but the pool is due to close on 13th for roof repairs.

Thank you to the Markham family for their kind donation to our club funds.

Bedworth Leisure Centre have contacted us to say the pool will be closed from 16th January for approximately 10 weeks. The new roof lining will be fitted. To all gala competitors

This message has arrived form the organisers:

A reminder that registration is from 11:30am and should be in the main hall of the leisure centre.

If you know of any no shows prior to the day please let me know.

Warm up will be at 12:30pm, please try and avoid being on poolside before then as the leisure centre have lesson in the pool until then.

First event will be as close to 1pm as I can make it!!

Due to time constraints we will be running the gala without any major interval and the raft race will take place at the end prior to the presentations.

On 6th December Stanley Smith-Poacher and Tom Powis were awarded their club T shirts in recognition of their regular attendance.

REMINDER – No swimming next week (13th) POOL CLOSED.

Swim, Santa and raffle is on 20th December.

Bedworth Leisure Centre will be closed from 24th December until 2nd January. Therefore there will be no swimming on 27th December.

Please find below a list of relay teams for the Hinckley Gala. All those who requested relay entries have at least one and a list will be published before the day so that everyone knows what they are swimming.

In total we have a total of 16 people entered into the gala to swim on our team.
