Pool Closure 16th December 2011

Bedworth Pool is being closed at 6pm on Friday 16th December 2011. The Leisure Trust are arranging a staff Christmas night out. There will be no club swim on this date.

Sponsored Swims November 2011

Sponsored swims to raise funds for the club will begin in November. Lane 1 will be allocated to any swimmers doing their swim each Friday until there are no more requests. A length counter will be present. Any NON-STOP swims will also count towards distance awards. You can download a sponsor form by clicking on the link below.

Hinckley Gala 2011

Very well done to all of our swimmers who represented our club on 22nd October 2011, at the Hinckley Gala. The results are available in the ‘Gala Results’ section and the photos are in the ‘Photo Album’.

Hinckley Gala 22nd October 2011 Results

Well done team! A brilliant set of results (again). Good swims from Joshua Watson and Matthew Buckler in their first galas. A full house of pbs from Sonia, Ashley and Thomas and all gold from Sonia, Emma, Thomas and Bethany. EVERY swimmer won a medal or swam a pb. The raft teams broke into the top 3 for the first time, but this year there no medals for this. The relays were very exciting with 10teams looking for honours. The 4 x 50m team were 0.7 secs away from bronze medals.

We look forward to competing against Tamworth Unicorns, Leicester Kingfishers, Leicester Saffron, Special Oympics North Warwickshire, Enterprise Club and CORN (??) next year.

Hinckley Gala 22nd October 2011

We now have 13 confirmed entries for the Hinckley Gala on 22nd October 2011. Any other entries can be added on the day this year. Therefore, if you have not already entered, but would like to swim for the Bedworth Disabled Swimming Club team, please ask Sheila for further details.

Important notice about the pool hoist

Following an inspection of the pool hoist, it has been condemned. It will be replaced, but this may take some time. Therefore, at present we do not have a hoist available to help people in and out of the pool. We are sorry for the inconvenience caused, but we will keep you updated on this website to let you know when we have a replacement. Thank you.
